John Laurie

John A. Laurie

Chief Executive Officer
John has been an owner of the Jack Laurie Group since 1995. The company has grown and changed a lot under John’s leadership. In 1995, the company had eight employees; now it has more than 250. The company used to only sell and install “soft flooring.” Now, JLG is one of the largest self-performing specialty contractors in the state of Indiana. JLG sells, installs, and maintains a comprehensive offering of construction services including all types of flooring, walls, and ceilings. John graduated from Purdue University in 1986 and worked at Procter and Gamble and Cintas before joining JLG. John is passionate about growing the company and making spaces better places to work and live! John has three great kids: Edie, Kat and Xander. In John’s free time, he enjoys spending time with his children and coaching them in all of their athletic activities.
Dave Foellinger

President & Chief Operating Officer
Dave has been with Jack Laurie Group since early 1999. In addition to his current role, Dave has held the positions of Director of Branch Development and general manager of the Indianapolis operation. As president and COO, Dave is responsible for the financial performance and continuous improvement of all JLG business units. Prior to coming to JLG, Dave worked in manufacturing production management. He holds degrees from both Purdue University and Indiana University, but his loyalty lies with the Boilermakers. He has been married to Kate since 1993, and they have been blessed with three wonderful children. When time permits, Dave enjoys attending his children’s activities, reading, collecting and playing his guitars.

Mark Lapp
Vice President Cleaning Services

As Vice President of Cleaning Services for Jack Laurie Group, Mark Lapp leads strategic growth, profit and loss, and operations for the division. Mark has served at Jack Laurie Group for nearly 15 years in multiple capacities. 

Prior to joining JLG, Mark owned a successful mortgage business, helping people achieve their dream of home ownership. At its peak, his company had six locations and over 35 employees.  Mark attended Indiana University Purdue University of Fort Wayne (IPFW, now PFW) where he studied Organizational Leadership.

Mark is passionate about family and is happily married with five children: three girls and two boys. In his free time, he enjoys going to breweries with his wife, biking, and coaching softball and basketball. He’s a proud Notre Dame football fan and watches or attends every game.

Alan Applebaum
Director of Operations – Cleaning Services

As Director of Operations for cleaning services, Alan leads the operations in both our Fort Wayne and Indianapolis branches. He is responsible for our high level of customer satisfaction, staff training and development, as well as vendor relationships.

Alan brings a long career in operations management, as well as extensive knowledge in floor care. Before joining the Jack Laurie Group, Alan served as the National Director of Operations in the retail construction industry, responsible for 14 locations throughout the country. Prior, Alan owned, managed, and sold a high end, commercial cleaning company focused on the hospitality industry.

Alan also serves on the Board of Directors for the Anderson Symphony Orchestra where he hopes to ignite a passion for classical music with a new generation. Alan plays the piano and saxophone. He’s been married to his wife Theresa since 2010 and has two children and two grandchildren. Alan enjoys family time, camping and live music.

Ramona McGown
Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager for cleaning services, Ramona works to grow the company’s janitorial services and footprint in Fort Wayne, Indiana. 

Ramona has over 15 years experience in sales and customer service.  During her 12 year tenure with Labor Works, Ramona and her staff received the president’s award twice for overall sales and branch performance.  Ramona has a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies from Indiana University and is a proud IU basketball fan.  

Ramona and her husband Charles, enjoy throwing dinner parties on their patio “Why See Bar & Grill,” for friends and family.  Charles and Ramona have a son that lives in Fort Lauderdale, FL.  She has yet to inform her son, Aaron, that his home is her new vacation spot.

Ashley Holtzberg
Project Manager

As the Operations Coordinator for the Jack Laurie Group in our commercial cleaning division, Ashley oversees staff onboarding, purchasing, janitorial account start-ups, and payroll. 

With over a decade of experience in providing excellent customer service, communication, and team-building, Ashley strongly believes in developing people, while helping our team create a positive efficient work environment. She is dedicated to the end-user and very passionate about creating a seamless operation to better your workspace. 

Outside of Jack Laurie Group, she enjoys spending time with friends & family, enjoying nature, kayaking, baking or DIY crafts.
